The Ghizzoni company was founded in the early 1950s in Villa Gaida, about halfway between Reggio Emilia and Parma, in the heart of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese production.
Its founder, Remo Ghizzoni, initially targeted the local market, producing equipment for the production, trade and expertise of Parmigiano Reggiano.
Over the years, thanks to the continuous improvement of production and the constant search for new market opportunities, the company has undergone considerable development and its products are appreciated at national and international level.
In 2009, Ghizzoni New Co srl signed an agreement with the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese consortium for the use of the eponymous brand on merchandising, cutlery, clothing and packaging.
