After taking it out of the bag, poke a few holes with a pin, wrap it in parchment paper and tie it not too tightly with a string; put it in a pot with plenty of cold water and bring it to a boil. From now on it should boil slowly for about 3 hours. Let it steep in the broth for about 20 minutes with the heat off, then it is ready to serve. It is recommended to serve it with mashed potatoes.
